Covid Safe Plan

Here at Making Pretty, As a makeup artist I have one job that is more important than the perfect red lipstick.

That is to keep you, my client, healthy and safe.

To give you peace of mind during this uncertain time, I wanted to let you know that my professional makeup kits and my workstations were and are always clean and disinfected, even before this pandemic.

While I have always practiced these safety precautions on a regular basis, I am, however, being more mindful than ever before.

I thought you should be aware of my cleaning practices to give you peace of mind. Not just now, but in the future.

Here are some things Making Pretty do to keep you safe:

-I will wear appropriate government mandated PPE (eg face mask)

-I wash my hands for 30 seconds before we begin your services.

-In addition, I use hand sanitizer as an extra step before we start services.

-I will clean all surfaces/ workstations with an antibacterial cleaner before every appointment

-I use new, clean brushes that have been washed in antibacterial cleaner and hot water on every client.

-I always dip/spray & wipe cream products with 70% isopropyl alcohol with a paper towel and/or scoop them onto a clean, metal palette. Eye and lip pencils are sprayed with alcohol and then sharpened before use.

-Whilst powder products do not usually harbour bacteria I am still being extra vigilant and regularly wiping with tissue and spraying with alcohol to disinfect 

-I never apply mascara on you right out of the tube. When applying mascara, I will always use new, disposable mascara wands for each application.

-I disinfect all my tools, from tweezers to lash curlers, and wipe down all products before and after I complete a job. This keeps from cross-contaminating other products inside my kit.

-I will practice these same guidelines at your home or hotel as well.

- I will be keeping a record of all my client’s name and phone number and appointment date for contact tracing

- I am fully vaccinated

In addition to these everyday steps, I am also being extra diligent to ensure that if I am exhibiting any signs or symptoms of the Covid-19 illness I will get tested, and will either find a replacement or reschedule your appointment

Finally, I will continue to closely monitor this developing situation and make necessary adjustments according to the government guidelines.
